It’s time to break out the Band-Aids and brace your battered body one more time, as Bleeding Knees Club head out on a national tour in November to launch ‘Let It Go’, the final single off their debut 2012 album ‘Nothing To Do’.

These will be the last headline shows from the Gold Coast duo before they bunker down to start work on their second album, and will also give fans the chance to hear many new songs road-tested that are earmarked for this next record. The tour includes three special Under 18’s Only gigs in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Support on all dates will come from Sydney shred-rockers Step-Panther.

Of ‘Let It Go’, frontman Alex Wall says “It’s actually one of my favourite songs on our album. It’s the first song me and Jordan ever wrote together, rather than separately. It’s all about keeping your cool, and not stressing out.” ‘Let It Go’ features doo-wop back-up vocals from members of Vivian Girls, The Like and Tearist, assembled in the studio by producer Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange).

Recorded in New York City, Bleeding Knees Club’s debut album ‘Nothing To Do’ was released in March and rapturously received by critics and the band’s passionate fanbase alike. In Australia, triple j Mag awarded it 9/10 and said it was “an album you can’t help but love”, while UK music bible NME hailed the band’s “undeniable knack for turning out two-minute garage-pop songs”.

Bleeding Knees Club launched the album with a run of shows in the UK and USA (including a hectic nine performances at the South By Southwest festival in Texas!) before returning home to play an 18-date national headline tour in April.

In June, the boys made Grimes’ 2012 hit ‘Oblivion’ all their own with a chilled interpretation for triple j’s legendary Like A Version segment. They played July’s Splendour In The Grass festival in Byron Bay, plus two chaotic Call The Cops sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne with buddies DZ Deathrays and Yacht Club DJ’s.

This relentless touring schedule and reputation for a rapid-fire live show have won them fans and stressed-out security guards at venues the world over.

Come and let it go with Bleeding Knees Club in November!

“This duo meld five decades of teenage angst – surf rock, Brill Building heartbreak,
punk petulance – into shambolic, snotty, two-minute anthems.” – Metro (UK)

“Just try and resist the call of Bleeding Knees Club – it’s impossible.” – Abeano (UK)

“So steadfast and on-the-ball they are, we’re not even sure they notice the constant stream of side-stage punters taking a diagonal run-up for their stage-dives. Nor do they miss a beat when some little darling sets off a smoke flare in the middle of the mosh during ‘Have Fun’.” – Everguide (Australia)
