Festival season is fast approaching, and it seems everyone is counting down ’til New Year  because New Year means Falls Festival! Music punters are appropriately revved up for the tasty musical treats that that the gang at Falls have lined up for us  including  The Flaming Lips, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines and LOTS more (need a refresher? Check out the full lineup announcement).

A few weeks back the folks at Falls also announced their comedy line up including Felicity Ward, Jason Byrne L, Luke Heggie and heaps more.

Now, it’s time for an art attack! The Village returns to The Falls Music & Arts Festival in 2012 with a labyrinth of jumbled, mystic, wondrous delights all waiting to be explored.

Playing at Lorne, in alphabetical order will be thrash and punk band Bad Taste, mixing frenetic rhythms and contemporary pop introspection will be  BJ Morrizonkle.

Taking over the avant-garde side of things will be  electro-pop diva Brite Flite while sharing his truths with circus skill is Jeremy Farquar. Made For Chickens By Robots will be producing lo-fi, sci-fi sonics and outsider entertainer for the next generation Madeline Tucker will make an appearance too.

Mucs will make an appearance and perform choral music from great Western composers whilst funnyman  Neil Portenza will bring the laughs. Mixing magic and philosophy is Sunny The Magosipher. New Orleans style street funk act The Brass Knuckle Band are set to perform  along with bourgeoning 10-piece funk and soul bad The Cactus Channel and Willis Earl Beal .

To top it all off will beerotic finger puppet show When Claude Met Roxy AND the mayhem inducing 10 Minute Dance Parties are back.

Heading souh and performaing at Marion Bay will be Synth poppers and dreamy darkwave creators All Fires; the laugh factory Clubhouse Comedy; master and maestro of physical comedy Dandy; spontaneous fun showers of improv comedy Danger Academy; contemporary acrobatic circus act Exhale; visual artist and instrumental soundscape creator Great Earthquake.

Joining all them will be Electric Australian blues act Guthrie; blues-rocking and foot-stomping Horehound; progressive metal band Infernal Outcry; 5-piece acoustic-y pop outfit Katy Raucher & The 3rd Row; Eastern Europe infused dance musicians Kazband; gospel and jazz with Mangus; spiritualist and medium Mona Povey; Southern Mississippi swamp music with Seagrass.

Silversonic is taking the roots genre an placing it atop a dancy driven pop vibe; plug in your bike for the 10 Minute Pedal Powered Dance Parties; poly-genre musicians The Embers; bringing the party wherever they play The Lawless Quartet; children of surf punk and garage spaghetti The 88’s; cheeky electric-folk producers The Original Cutouts and rounding it all out they have seven-piece folk band Thieves.
