The legendary British act credited with creating heavy metal, Black Sabbath have already announced their widely rumoured and highly anticipated reunion for their first Australian shows in nearly 40 years, and after fans have stampeded the box office, Black Sabbath are adding a second date in Melbourne to meet popular demand.

With the Melbourne show at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday 1st May already sold out, the band have added another date two days prior on Monday 29th April, to satiate fans needs to catch the classic lineup as they deliver their ream of rock anthems.

Tickets on sale for the second Melbourne date will go on sale at midday Friday 7th December through Ticketek, with a pre-sale beginning from 10am Tuesday 4th December (the perfect Christmas present for that discerning metal fan you know).

Hailing from Birmingham, England, Black Sabbath released their self-titled debut album on February 13, 1970. Their follow up album, the seminal masterpiece, UK #1 album Paranoid, – featured the all-time rock classics ‘War Pigs’ and ‘Iron Man’ as well as the title track, ‘Paranoid’. Black Sabbath has sold in excess of 70 million records worldwide. More than 40 years on, this iconic band continues to be held in the highest regard
