Here it is ladies and gentlemen, the lineup all those of you ‘in the know’ have been waiting for to the hidden gem of music festivals in Australia, Boogie. One of Australia’s most boutique festivals from the brains behind Love Police, the festival continues to punch well above its weight with yet again another stellar first lineup announcement.

Following from a huge festival last year that saw the likes of Royal Headache, Justin Townes Earle, and Jim James from My Morning Jacket descend on Bruzzy’s Farm for three days of unadulterated rock n roll – Boogie 7 is wasting no time and is once again ready to royally mess up your Easter weekend.

First cab off the rank is the one and only Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. With a sound deeply rooted in the past, while hurtling toward an interminable and effervescent future, this Kentish town trio will take the long road to get to the Boogie faithful. Dip and jive, look sharp, and be ready.

In a blast from the past and a hark back to the inception of Boogie, Tony Joe White will also make a return to the festival after playing the very first year. In fact, the event was created for a special show for him. He tours to his faithful every two years just in time to hit the Boogie stage.

Its tradition, he is incredible. He has a past that reads like the history of Southern rock and soul, and he will mesmerise you again this Easter.

In a very special, spectacle, spectacular, Henry Wagons And His Grand Ole Boogvegas Spectacle will transform the stage with an assortment of music and musicians that makes The Last Waltz look tiny. The Unwelcome Company is grandly expanding to be full of pomp and ceremony for this gala event. On with the show O Henry!

Among the other artist ready to rock you through the long weekend are the 10 crazy kids from Brisbane’s Velociraptor, the young Jeremy Neale – The rock and soul man on the rise from San Francisco, local gals Super Wild Horses, and The Preatures with their blend of Gothic soul and rock & roll.

According to the Boogie gods there are still quite a few musical acts to announce, and the ass shaking DJ world yet to be revealed, but for now, BOOGIE 7 smells a little something like this……
