With 2012 very swiftly drawing to a close, for many, their New Year’s plans are beginning to take shape; but for those with tickets to Falls Festival at both its Lorne and Marion Bay sties, some of that organisation falls to the set times.
Scheduling that all important balance to catch the most (and the best) of the lineup: Flaming Lips over Django Django? Ringing in the new year with The Hives? Making the dash from Hot Chip to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs or Miami Horror DJs? Or how to best find the stamina to work through Husky, Lisa Mitchell and Bombay Bicycle Club? Or how about finding the hillside to belt out Two Door Cinema Club and Coolio?
Well now the speculation is over with Falls releasing the full playing times, and once again it seems that genre-wise and time-wise they’ve done a a pretty good job at making sure everyone catches their favourite acts without facing the dreaded clashes. There’s also the Falls Festival app available for download if you aren’t one for the old print, laminate and share method.
Quite an achievement considering the enormous catalogue of acts ranging from Angus Stone to The Vaccines and everything in between. Plus the long list of Australian artists like Flume, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Bleeding Knees Club, DZ Deathrays, The Trouble With Templeton and many more. Then there’s the dance selections over at Boogie Nights, the full Arts showcase, and the impressive Comedy lineup to contend with.
