The ringleader of Odd Future, Tyler, The Creator, and one of the Californian hip hop collective’s most prominent members, Earl Sweatshirt, are returning to Australia for a co-headline tour this June.

Touring together under the moniker of ‘EarlWolf’ the pair of young rappers will kick start their tour in Perth, before taking in an all-ages show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, Melbourne’s Palace Theatre, and rounding out with another all-ages gig at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel (which recently named former Powderfinger guitarist, Ian Haug, as the venue’s new band booker and you have Rick Szabo of QLive to thank for confirming the show).

Though Tyler, The Creator was last in Australia as part of Odd Future with the Big Day Out in 2012, it will be Earl Sweatshirt’s debut visit to the country after missing out last time. Both arrive off the back of a slew of new releases.

Tyler, The Creator has just released his third solo album Wolf via Sony Music, featuring guest appearances from Erykah Badu, fellow OFWGKTA associate Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams, Earl Sweatshirt (of course) and a host of guest MCs. Meanwhile Earl Sweatshirt is prepping to release his debut album Doris, through his own Tan Cressida imprint under the Columbia Records/Sony umbrella, as well as a second release, Gnossos.

If previous Odd Future visits, at the Big Day Out 2012 and VIVID Live 2011, are anything to go by, these tours are not only likely to be some of the hottest tickets in town, but likely to be some pretty controversial shows too. Don’t miss out.
