Organisers of The Gum Ball Festival have got a great new musical addition to the winter festival calendar up their sleeves. Announcing Pigsty In July to be held at ‘Dashville, the same venue that hosts The Gum Ball, in Lower Belford on Saturday 20th July.

The one day music festival focuses on the indulgence of warm winter food and beverage and coincides with the Singleton Arts Festival grand finale, and Pigsty In July is ready to splash the mud with a killer lineup of quality live music.

Topping the bill are stage connoisseurs, The Snowdroppers, fresh from dropping their Moving Out of Eden album – a stirring mix of swampy blues rock. Joining them will be the eight-piece outfit – the multi-limbed, multi-talented wonder that is Eagle and the Worm. Also on the bill is Simon Meli, star competitor of The Voice, alongside his band The Widowbirds.

Other acts joining in the winter festivities are James Brown tribute bande Pow Wow, the jumpin’ jivin’ local band, Fish Fry, the mighty 11-piece Polynesian reggae troupe V-Tribe and the venue’s own infamous rock supergroup, Dashville Progress Society.

Starting at midday and wrapping up at 10pm (and possibly later if the party’s really rockin), organisers promise Pigsty In July to be a day full of culinary delicacies, as well as an array of boutique beverages, all supplied by renowned local chefs and suppliers; all while Surrounded by the warmth of friends and open fires, to the tune of some great party bands, in an idyllic exclusive venue.
