Mikhael Paskalev Australian Tour 2014 Announced
Having charmed the pants off homeland Scandinavia, her hot European sisters and preppy American cousins, recent Dew Process signee Mikhael Paskalev is set to cause a stir Down Under, with the Australian release of his I Spy EP – out Friday, November 15 – including the release’s loveable namesake and it’s 1.6 million view earning music video (watch here). The charismatic Norwegian/Bulgarian songwriter is headed to Australia for a very special set of three live dates in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne in March 2014 – presented by Secret Sounds (mmm, did someone say Splendour In the Grass?). Having just played Iceland’s Airwaves Music Festival and recently completed dates throughout the UK with the rockin’ Half Moon Run, Paskalev is set to earn a slew of Aussie fans with his live show come next year.

Flying Lotus Presenting Audio/Visual Show At Sydney Opera House
Headed to Australia and already announced as part of the Golden Plains 2014 lineup, visionary avant-electronic artist and producer Flying Louts will make his standalone Sydney Opera House debut with Layer 3, his spectacular live audio/visual show. FlyLo, real name Steven Ellison, has described Layer 3 as a sensory spectacular that will take audiences on a head-spinning journey through his four critically acclaimed albums of video-game futurism and sci-fi classics, transforming the Concert Hall into a Kubrick-like 2001: A Space Odyssey. Following a year of high-end collaborations with Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt, Kendrick Lamar and a curated soundtrack for the billion-selling Grand Theft Auto V, FlyLo will make his Aussie return with this mind-blowing audiovisual performance transforming his catalogue of roof-raising bass and cinematic beauty into the ultimate real-life video-game fantasy, on the Opera House stage. Models Announce Melbourne & Sydney Shows
After the success of the band’s two shows at Melbourne’s Ding Dong Lounge in September, Models – Kelly, Duffield, Price, and Ferrie are back to showcase new material and play some old favourites for two special shows in Sydney and Melbourne in December. 2010 saw Models inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame after gaining notoriety in the early 80’s with ground breaking mini album ‘Cut Lunch’, but it was their long player ‘The Pleasure Of Your Company’ featuring the hit ‘I Hear Motion’ which cracked it commercially for the band. Now, 25 years after the heady days of massive hits & platinum albums in the 80s, 2014 will see the band release a long awaited album of new material. In December, Models will be previewing new tracks from the album at the upcoming shows and will have a special, limited edition EP for sale at the gigs. This is the chance to see the band back in action, playing the tracks you know and love and some brand spanking new music to satisfy the most hardcore Model fans – it’s been years in the making and you won’t be disappointed!

Little May Australian Tour 2013 Announced
Sydney three-piece Little May follow up the success of their highly acclaimed single, ‘Hide’, with their debut East Coast tour this December; their sophomore single has already reached the coveted #2 position on the Hype Machine and Airit charts and accrued over 140,000 Soundcloud plays (listen here). The Upskirts Announce New Single & Tour
The Upskirts return with a brand new single after an adventure to Europe where they played to sold-out rooms and blew up amps in London & The Great Escape in Brighton. They have previously dabbled in psychedelic textures and reverberated surf-rock guitar riffs, frenzied post-punk idiocy and garage pop grooves and through recording their latest songs withWoody Annison (Hunting Grounds, Children Collide) they have pushed the sonic boundaries once again. ‘We Could Be A Team’ is also the first song that sees drummer Tom Kell taking over vocal duties and the result is a love child of My Bloody Valentine and Tame Impala in a lush sound-scape (listen here). Frightened Rabbit Laneway Festival 2014 Sideshows Announce Supports
Cathartic Scottish rockers are heading back to Australia next February as part of the Laneway Festival 2014 lineup and playing a series of sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney. Joining the five-piece for both dates as support will be Sydney-based band Gang Of Youths, who are buzzing around the globe after putting their track ‘Evangelists‘ online. Described as international press as ‘Springsteen meets The Killers’. Triple J are giving them a lot of love and the band will be supporting Vampire Weekend in January before joiningFrightened Rabbit on their Laneway sideshows.
