The Big Day Out 2014 sideshows have been announced.

Following this week’s second Big Day Out 2014 lineup announcement, adding a handful of artists to the bill for next January’s edition of the long-running festival, now come the first round of headline dates to run in tandem with the festival.

While Pearl Jam and Blur are playing exclusively at the Big Day Out – with no sideshows outside the touring one-day event – another of the ‘white whales’ on the triple headlining bill have announced sideshows, Arcade Fire.

As well as the Canadian art rock collective, there’s sideshows from the one and only Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion/Snoopzilla), who will be playing shows with fellow hip hop head Mac Miller, as well as a one-off date with Major Lazer, who in turn are playing separate headline shows also.

There’s also a special ‘Evening with…’ performance from funk metal pioneers Primus, playing two full sets in one night, folk rock sensations The Lumineers, and new wave rockers Grouplove teaming up with Brazilian indie artist CSS.

As well as the already announced dates from Mudhoney, other bands on the bill also playing Big Day Out sideshows is the chilled out Toro Y Moi and wacky alt rock outfit Portugal, The Man, and Britain pop rock group The 1975.

Full ticket details, dates, venues, and artist info below, and more Big Day Out sideshows will be added as they are announced.
All sideshows are on sale 9am Friday 29th November from the usual outlets.
