The final list of acts for the Port Fairy Folk Festival 2014 lineup have been announced, with over 40 more artists added to the the festival’s 38th edition this March.

Featuring four days of surf, sun, and sumptuous soundtracking, the Port Fairy Folk Festival takes place from 7th to 10th of March on the gorgeous coastal resort. The last ticket release opens today (Thursday 16th January) and with it Port Fairy Folk Festival 2014 announces the final lineup additions, a collection of local and international artists.

Joining the Port Fairy Folk Festival 2014 lineup is Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard, known worldwide for his music with The Frames, The Swell Season (with Markéta Irglová) and as a solo artist. Also joining the bill from Ireland is unique folk act, Lisa O’Neill.

On the national front, new Aussie artists joining the Port Fairy Folk Festival 2014 lineup include Golden Guitar winner Beccy Cole, the legendary Normie Rowe and his band The Playboys, Mick Thomas’ Roving Commission, young talent Melody Pool, and Ginger & Tonic.

The new additions join an already huge lineup that features an eclectic roster that features new names, emerging young talent, as well as musical legends, and a selection of classic favourites of the festival. Including the likes of Madeleine Peyroux, Archie Roach, Ash Grunwald, Poke LaFarge, and many many more.

The gorgeous beaches, cool waves and music vibe of Port Fairy are looking very enticing for the 38th festival and the final release of tickets go on sale from Thursday 12am (midnight) following the first three ticket releases now selling out.
