A Warpaint Laneway 2014 Sideshow has been announced.

Warpaint’s self-titled second album is released Down Under today, and to commemorate the occasion, the Los Angeles-based quartet will be playing an exclusive Laneway Festival 2014 sideshow at a secret location in Sydney.

Touted to take place “at an eerie yet beautiful location in the inner western suburbs of Sydney on Wednesday 5th February,” taking place between dates at the sold out Melbourne and Sydney editions and the remaining Laneway Festival legs in Adelaide and Perth.

A very limited number of tickets are on sale now to the general public and ticket holders will be notified of the show’s secret location at 11am on Wednesday 5th February by email & text message. The show will be a once in a life time opportunity for fans to see Warpaint produce their hypnotic brand of indie rock in a unique and delicate setting.

The news arrives the same day that Warpaint – Emily Kokal (vocals/guitar), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass/vocals), Theresa Wayman (guitar/vocals), and Stella Mozgawa (drums) – release their eponymous sophomore effort, Warpaint, in Australia.

Following nearly four years on from the band’s 2010 debut, The Fool, Warpaint’s second full-length builds upon the band’s hypnotic witches brew of post-punk moods, entrancing grooves, and spooked, rhythmic songcraft, this time under the tutelage of legendary producer Flood, and a pair of mixing jobs from Radiohead producer/Atoms For Peace member Nigel Godrich; on and ‘Feeling Alright’ and lead single ‘Love Is To Die’.
