With less than a week until the full Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup is announced, organisers have revealed ticketing details for this year’s edition of the regional music festival.
According to an image posted via the festival’s social media, tickets to Groovin The Moo 2014 will be priced at an even $99.90 (+b/f) with passes for the final half of the tour in Bendigo, Townswville, and Bunbury going on sale first, at 9am local time on Tuesday 4th February.
Tickets for the latter half of the tour – the newly added Oakbank leg, Maitland, and Canberra – will go on sale 9am local time on Wednesday 5th February, exactly one week on from the full festival lineup dropping on Wednesday 29th January.
The first band already confirmed on the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup is Perth prog powerhouse Karnivool. The ARIA-winning five-piece concluded their Polymorphism tour (with co-headliners Dead Letter Circus and sleepmakeswaves) with a massive hometown show at Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium last night, but last week frontman Ian Kenny let slip that Karnivool’s next national jaunt would be as part of the regional festival.
Along with hitting the usual regional centres in NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, and WA, Groovin The Moo 2014 marks the festival’s debut in South Australia. “It’s taken a few years, but we are all very excited to welcome South Australia into the GTM Family,” says Stephen Halpin from Groovin The Moo’s Cattleyard Promotions of the festival’s expansion reveal last year.
“Oakbank Racecourse is a beautiful venue and the 2014 line-up is shaping up nicely already so we can’t wait to launch the GTM Tour in SA.”
Last year’s Groovin The Moo lineup featured The Temper Trap, Flume, Frightened Rappit, Tame Impala, Matt & Kim, and They Might Be Giants and saw the event selling out in Maitland, Bunbury, and Bendigo; where our Tone Deaf reviewer remarked: “In what is becoming an increasingly ruthless market, Groovin’ The Moo has managed to occupy an enviable niche.”
