Gareth Liddiard (The Drones) Residency Announced

Firebrand frontman for The Drones and one of Australia’s most celebrated songwriters, Gareth Liddiard has been confirmed to perform a set of intimate solos shows at The Workers Club in Melbourne each Sunday in May; joined at the 200-capacity Fitzroy bandroom by a fine selection of support acts.

Following a heavy year of touring in support of The Drones’ sixth and possibly best LP, I See Seaweed, the Workers Club residency will offer a rare chance to catch Gareth Liddiard performing material from his peerless songbook, including songs from his 2010 solo debut Strange Tourist. As our Tone Deaf reviewer at his last headline solo show in 2012 remarked, Liddiared “delivers searing shows that defend his reputation as one of our nation’s most unique and compellingly intense performers.” Strictly limited tickets on sale now from www.theworkersclub.oztix.com.au
