The ticket ballot for Golden Plains #6 have officially opened, and organisers have let us have a sneak peak of what’s to come before a full lineup announcement in a few weeks.
Bon Iver will be playing a special full-length set at Sunset in the Supernatural Amphitheatre with a nine-piece band on the Saturday evening. This will be a once in a lifetime experience, seeing the musical man mountain and his band play in, well, as sweet a natural environment as you could wish to see him in, out there amongst the giant Ghost Gums and couches as the day turns into night and he winds his way through an extended set of soulful, emotional, uplifting, cathartic music.
Also joining us is March will be Roky Erickson, who acheived cult fame way back in the 60s in 13th Floor Elevators with ‘You’re Gonna Miss Me’ (written when he was just 15). For the first time ever, the legendary legend of psychedelic rock will be here playing songs from throughout his rock-n-roller coaster lifetimes.
As usual, The Subscriber Ticket Ballot is held to ensure that the majority of the tickets are firstly allocated to Subscribers, before the rest go on public sale. There are two rounds (draws) of The Ballot – on or before October 17 for existing Subscribers and October 26 for newer Subscribers. Ballot-winners will be emailed a unique Golden Code to access the secure Online Box Office and purchase tickets.
