For anyone who lived and thrived unapologetically on the YMCMB era of the 2010s, this one’s for you: Nicki Minaj has just dropped a track with the Young Money trio: Drake and Lil Wayne.

To announce the release of the new song ‘Seeing Green’, Nicki jumped on an Instagram Live with Drizzy to express her appreciation for the ‘In My Feelings’ rapper. She said, “Drake single handedly got me out of my writer’s block, and I’m never gonna forget it and I’m gonna shout it to the fucking world on the mountaintops because that’s the real shit, that’s my hand to God.”

She continued, “He sent me something and it made me feel so competitive again. I was like, ‘What the fuck am I doing? Like you need to start writing!'”

Nicki also went on to reflect on the YMCMB era and how it’s always going to inspire her. And in particular, she continued to express her gratitude for Drake and how much he gases her up.

“And whenever I hear Drake and Wayne rap it’s just always gonna inspire something in me, but outside of Drake’s raps, it’s his like pep talks. He’ll send one text that’ll make me really like view evaluate everything. He’s a fucking genius as a musical artist, but also just as a human, like, please everybody know that. Like that’s real shit like that.”

Not that Drake needs to be anymore gassed up right now, especially seeing as her was just named Billboard’s Artist of the Decade accolade. Over the past decade he has landed nine No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart as well as 33 top songs on the chart. He’s also smashed six No.1 songs on the Hot 100 chart.

To further secure his spot at the Artist of the Decade, he’s also had the most No. 1 songs on the Hot 100 chart, as well as the most N0. 1 and Top 10 songs on the Hot Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.
