Noel Gallagher has released his much anticipated debut solo song. He released the video for his debut solo single ‘The Death Of You And Me’ online. The track is the first to be released from his debut solo album Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. The track sees Noel getting his country on, with a very laidback feel and him singing higher than we’ve heard in the past. The overall song has a Beatles go The Byrds circa Sweetheart of the Rodeo feel. The middle eight sees a brass section introduced and almost sounds a bit like a – shock horror – Blur song circa Country House!
The former Oasis guitarist’s solo album, is set to come out on October 17 and will be released his own label, Sour Mash. The LP was recorded in Los Angeles and London with Jet and Wolfmother producer Dave Sardy. He’s also set to release a second album, which he has recorded with psychedelic collective Amorphous Androgynous, is due out at some point in 2012.
