The NYE On The Hill lineup has been announced with an impressive list of local talent hitting up the inaugural launch of the music festival, a New Year’s expansion from the organisers of the boutique invite-only The Hills Are Alive. Hitting up the new, three-day/two-day event is a great mix of talent ranging from rockier acts to down tempo beatsers.
In preparation for the New Year’s festivities the lovely Luke Cuerel from Pigeon has curated what he reckons is the perfect playlis to ring in 2014. Check it, and the full lineup details out below.
Loon Lake – ‘Cherry Lips’
The perfect song to bring in the new year. We’ll be up front singing along to the breakdown, when it’s almost night time, because we know that’s the right time (to dance).
The Cat Empire- ‘Sly’
Nothing says party and bringing in the new year like some horny up tempo action. Oh and some good music too.
Remi – ‘Sangria’
We may not be drinking Sangria, but we’ll be drinking something. A special mention to the lyric “And I’m Shampooin’”.
Wave Racer – ‘Rock U Tonite’
Werv Rercer t gert them hedz bobbin for Nu years.
Empire Of The Sun – Alive (Gold Fields Remix)
Time for a disco funky sexy jam courtesy of the Empire of the Sun and Gold Fields boys. If I had a penthouse party for new years with lots of good looking girls, this would be on repeat (there’s even a trumpet solo!).
