We’ve seen some funny festival blunders of recent times, we’ll never forget that face-palm moment when Splendour In The Grass accidentally revealed their 2015 lineup and it looks like Glastonbury have made a pretty poor mistake in revealing their full lineup, too.
The world famous musical extravaganza just unveiled its smashing 2015 lineup which is headlined by heavyweights including the Foo Fighters, Kanye West, The Who, Florence + The Machine as well as many more sought after acts, however as Music Feeds point out, on their official poster announcement, they’ve made some embarrassing spelling typos for multiple performers.
Apparently the event held from Wednesday 24 – Sunday 28 June will feature performances from the likes of our very own bearded electro crooner Chet Facker, as well as indie pop mainstays Belle & Sebastien not to mention Canadian dream-pop outfit Alvays – oopsy!
After hilarious reactions from hundreds on Facebook, Glastonbury have since fixed their spelling errors to read correctly as Chet Faker and Belle & Sebastian, however it looks like one of our favourite 2014 breakout acts, Alvvays, have remained as Alvays.
In the case of Chet Facker, perhaps it was a mere Freudian slip, if you pronounce the incorrect name out loud it does sounds a little like something else, or perhaps they’re suffering the ramifications of the unbelievable amount of nangs found at 2014’s festival (only joking).
Fortunately, the graphic designer who created the poster managed to spell the remaining announce Aussies performing at the revered music festival correctly, with recent Channel 7 subject Courtney Barnett set to rock the UK countryside alongside King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Hiatus Kaiyote (surely the easiest two acts to spell wrong?) with Flight Facilities ready to get punter’s feet moving.
Naturally, Glastonbury has long sold out, however there are resale opportunities available – as the website directs, beware of people selling fakes.
