The panellists for the one-off reunion of Spicks And Specks have been revealed, with dedicated fans set to welcome back some familiar faces.

Last night, it was revealed that the beloved musical quiz show Spicks And Specks was set to make a comeback later this year.

First broadcast in 2005, the show ran until 2011, when it wrapped production with an emotional farewell. Despite a poorly-received revival series back in 2014, and a brief on-air reunion of the show’s team captains in 2016, fans have been eagerly awaiting the show’s full-fledged return.

Then, Herald Sun TV writer Colin Vickery shared out a rather exciting Tweet yesterday confirming a reunion is coming later this year as part of the ABC’s Ausmusic Month celebrations.

“It is true – Adam Hills, Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough are reuniting for a Spicks and Specks special to air in November.”

Now, as Double J reports, the Spicks And Specks Reunion Special is set to welcome back a few familiar faces for its TV return.

Joining Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst this November will be a star-studded lineup, including A.B. Original MC and comedian Briggs, and singer Ricki-Lee Coulter. On the more comedic side of things though will be veteran guests Denise Scott, and the latter half of comedy duo Lano And Woodley, Frank Woodley.

“I absolutely can’t wait to do this,” explained Double J’s Myf Warhurst of the beloved show’s return. “I am so excited to get the band back together for the reunion.”

“Sure, a few years have passed, a few more grey hairs have appeared, many things have dropped and I promise you we’ll be a bit slower on the buzzers answering questions, but we’re ready to do this. An added bonus is that this reunion is all about celebrating and showcasing Australian music for Ausmusic month so we were all easily convinced.”

Adam Hills also echoed the sentiment, sharing his excitement about getting back into the hosting chair one last time.

“Like most music acts, Myf, Alan and I are getting the band back together for one last gig,” he explained. “Unlike most music acts, we all still get along with each other, and can’t wait to spend some time in each other’s company.”

The hour-long, one-off special is set to be broadcast in November on the ABC, though the exact date of the premiere is not yet known. Likewise, a lineup of legendary Aussie musicians from the past and present is still to be announced as well, so you can be certain that this is going to be one of the most anticipated events in modern Australian television history.
