Indie Folk five-piece, The Paper Kites, are proud to announce the release of their brand new EP, ‘Young North’ due for release September 7th.
Their new material has an energetic feel to it, while maintaining the romantic and whimsical appeal of their current favourites. The earthy sounding instruments meld together to create a perfect backdrop for the band’s harmonic, strong and sensual voices.
Having already toured with the likes of Boy & Bear and Josh Pyke, and selling out both their first East Coast tour and their July Heavy Reins tour, The Paper Kites thought it might be time celebrate by announcing yet another tour.
Joining The Paper Kites on their national tour are very special guests Art Of Sleeping and Battleships.
Art Of Sleeping’s first single ‘Empty Hands’ had listeners scrambling to hear it again and again. The subsequent ‘Above The Water’ adds more substance to the accessible melodies and intricate musicianship and paves the way solidly for the bands forthcoming EP.
Sydney 4-piece Battleships, have currently been receiving widespread acclaim for their debut single’In Retrospect’, which landed on high rotation on Triple J, as well as receiving regular play on community-based and independent radio nation-wide.
