Latest track off of the forthcoming Coldplay album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ is entitled a very pleasant, ‘Paradise’. It’s nothing dramatically new for Coldplay lovers – plenty of melodramatic strings and chords, a pinch of melancholy and a dash of Chris Martin’s beautifully crooning vocals. According to various sources, the main inspiration for the track was Blur’s track ‘Sing’ – think somewhat hypnotic chords and piano-driven verses and swirly synth sounds. Although the percussion sounds a little tacky and over-produced, the song pulls together nicely to sound anthem-worthy, perhaps suited to an upcoming movie soundtrack.
