It seems that KISS’ farewell tour might be recorded for a future live album, with Paul Stanley admitting that it’s a “logical” move.

Back in September, KISS revealed that after 45 years in the game, they’re going to be calling it quits with a farewell tour.

“This is gonna be our last tour,” said Paul Stanley. “It will be the most explosive, biggest show we’ve ever done. People who love us, come see us. If you’ve never seen us, this is the time. This will be the show.”

While the band have since announced worldwide dates for this final tour (including a run of Australian shows in 2019), it seems that the band might be planning to document this final trek with some sort of audio/visual package.

Appearing on the KISS Kruise, Paul Stanley recently participated in a Q&A session (via Blabbermouth), where a fan asked if the band had plans for a live album for KISS’ final tour.

“I haven’t really give it any thought, but it seems appropriate,” Stanley began. “It seems appropriate that we’ll want to document, whether it’s video or document with an audio of this. It’s a great way to wrap things up.”

“So although it hasn’t been planned or thought out, it seems logical.”

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time that KISS have released a live album in their career. While they released the infamous Alive! back in 1975 (which is notable for including quite a few overdubs from the studio), the band have since released ten more live records, and a number of home video releases as well.

KISS’ End Of The Road tour is set to kick off in January of 2019, and will feature a series of Australian dates in November of the same year. Keep on reading for tour dates and ticketing info.
