KISS frontman Paul Stanley has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump over the course of his presidency. As Trump spends his remaining weeks in office, Stanley has taken the opportunity to condemn him one last time.

The latest criticism was sparked by a recent article by The Washington Post which featured an audio recording of a phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary Of State Brad Raffensperger. The conversation saw Trump attempt to convince Raffensberg to “find” votes in a bid to overturn the election results following his loss to Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

“The people of Georgia are angry, the people in the country are angry. And there’s nothing wrong with saying that, you know, um, that you’ve recalculated,” Trump said.

To which Raffensperger responded, “Well, Mr. President, the challenge that you have is, the data you have is wrong.”

Elsewhere during the conversation, Trump outlined his scheme: “So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

“You should want to have an accurate election. And you’re a Republican,” Trump said.

“We believe that we do have an accurate election,” Raffensperger responded. To which Trump with his impenetrable ego responded, “No, no you don’t. Not even close. You’re off by hundreds of thousands of votes.”

Georgia certified the state vote after counting it three times amid the election, certifying Joe Biden’s victory by a final margin of 11,779.

In response to the leaked phone call, Paul Stanley took to Twitter to share a link to the Washington Post report, lambasting Trump and his shifty political play.

“This is ABHORRENT. A true danger to our democracy,” he wrote. “The issue isn’t that it WON’T work. It’s Mob Boss behavior and politicians putting party over audits, investigations, court rulings & COUNTRY in an effort to overrule the will of American voters”.

In a follow-up tweet, Stanley continued: “After numerous audits, debunked claims of rampant voter tampering, dead people voting & the countless cases thrown out by Trump appointed judges & others… When is not getting the hoped for result accepted?? Biden won.”

The leaked phone call has sparked widespread criticism, with calls for impeachment or prosecution for Trump’s actions.

“I absolutely think it’s an impeachable offence and if it was up to me there would be articles on the floor quite quickly,’ congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said. ‘But he, I mean he is trying to – he is attacking our very election.”

Congress will meet on Wednesday, January 6th to certify the election results. Ahead of the meeting, 100 Republican House members have indicated their intent to object to results in a number of states.
