It’s been a couple of years since Pentatonix were seen on Aussie shores, but now the US vocal group will be returning for their biggest tour to date.
First forming back in 2011, Texas’ Pentatonix quickly became something of an Internet sensation thanks to their stunning vocal arrangements.
Performing entirely a capella, the group’s immersive style quickly found them fame, and following a winning appearance on The Sing-Off in 2011, their future as in-demand performers was practically assured.
Since then, they’ve toured the world, received numerous Grammy Awards, appeared in films like Pitch Perfect 2, and managed to rack up more than four billion views on YouTube.
Now, Pentatonix are making their return to Aussie shores.
Having first visited Australia back in 2014, the group made a return visit in 2016, but haven’t been back since. During their time away though, they’ve released three more albums, an EP, and have switched their lineup a bit – with Matt Sallee replacing bass vocalist Avi Kaplan.
Taking place in early 2020, Pentatonix have today announced a four-date tour of Australia, visiting Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Tickets to these long-awaited shows go on sale from 1pm on Monday, July 22nd, with a Live Nation pre-sale kicking off at 11am on Friday, July 19th.
Check out all the details below, but be sure to get in quick, otherwise you might be forced to wait another few years to catch the stunning vocal performance of Pentatonix.
