Peter Hook of New Order is set to auction a selection of the band’s most cherished items this October.

Dubbed as ‘The Peter Hook Signature Collection – New Order’, the items will go under the hammer at Omega Auctions in Merseyside, seeing 400 lots being auctioned off.

Among the many items up for sale the selection includes things like framed promotional posters, platinum record commemorations, proof sleeves and more.

It also includes some super rare vinyl pieces like test pressings, tapes, CDs, artwork. The 2006 ‘The End’ audio rig ‘from the band’s ‘farewell’ concert in Buenos Aires.

Is Hook auctioning off any of his most prized possessions? He sure is. In terms of Hook’s personal items and belongings being sold off, he’s decided to list some of his own instruments, including the ‘Overwater Bass Guitar’.

But that’s not all – he’s also letting go of the Prophet 5 Synthesiser and Sequencer, the exact one which was used to play their tracks live – of course including one of the greatest new wave anthems of all time: ‘Blue Monday’. In the catalogue Hook notes that he can’t say if it was the exact sequencer used to record ‘Blue Monday’ though.

Donations from the auction will be directed towards supporting a number of charities including Epilepsy Society and The Christie charity.

As per NMEnot only is Hook selling off some of his most prized instruments and recording pieces, he’s also auctioning off a number of his music accolades, including the ‘Blue Monday Anvil’ which the band received from Factory Records’ in order to celebrate 500,000 record sales.

Over the past year or so, New Order have been prolific with music releases, seeing Hook collaborate with The Gorillaz and also the band releasing a new track, ‘Be A Rebel’.
