If you’ve been on the lookout for an amazing pub-rock gig this summer, your search is over, with Pist Idiots and The Chats teaming up for an amazing double-header this December.
In what is quite possibly the best pairing since the sausage roll and tomato sauce, Revesby’s pub-punk legends Pist Idiots have teamed up with the Sunshine Coast’s smoko-loving larrikins The Chats for an amazing co-headline tour this summer.
Pist Idiots have had quite a wild year, kicking things off with a spot on the Sydney City Limits Festival, and putting the finishing touches on their Bad//Dreems-produced Princes EP. Chuck in a headline tour, and support slots for the likes of West Thebarton, Skegss, and Cosmic Psychos, and that’s a pretty solid way to spend 2018.
Likewise, The Chats entered the year as viral sensations off the back of their beloved anthem ‘Smoko’. As the year has progressed, the group have ticked some huge items off the ol’ bucket list, including supporting the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age on their Aussie tour, and selling out tours in the UK and Europe.
Now, Pist Idiots and The Chats are hitting the road together for the Endless Bummer summer tour, travelling all around the country in the interest of delivering the wildest rock shows imaginable.
Kicking things off in Melbourne on December 7th, the group will head over to Adelaide for the Stonecutters Festival before touring up and down the east coast. While The Chats will be going it alone for a handful of shows in New South Wales and Victoria, the tour will wrap up after 24 dates with a stops in the ACT and Western Australia.
With the bands hand-picking local supports for each gig, most of these shows are in limited-capacity venues, so you know they’ll be going off like a frog in a sock. Be sure to get in early to ensure you don’t miss your chance to see one of the best double-headers you’ll find anywhere!
