Following on from the recent announcement that Miss Polly Jean Harvey will be returning to Australia for early 2012 shows (including an appearance at MONA FOMA 2012) comes the news that the lauded singer/songwriter will play a second show in Melbourne.
Having sold out the first Regent Theatre date in a matter of hours, Frontier Touring have invited PJ to play another night at the legendary venue on Monday 16th January. Expected to perform material from her celebrated back catalogue PJ will certainly introduce Australian fans to new music from the critically acclaimed Let England Shake in the flesh.
Let England Shake netted Polly Jean her second Mercury Prize – the coveted British award presented to the creator of UK’s best album of the year – making her the first artist ever to win two. The first was awarded to her for her work Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea in 2001.
Tickets for the second Melbourne show go on sale at 9am Wednesday 19th October. The newly opened seats are expected to be just as sought after.
