Not to sound too cliche, but the Playboi Carti new album hype is real.

Over the past few weeks, Playboi Carti has been bread-crumbing his upcoming album, Whole Lotta Red pretty hard.

Last month he posted a video via Instagram, of what seems to be a sneak peek of a Kanye West collaboration on the album. He captioned the post, “OK YE @kanyewest THANK @younglord.”

While we can’t confirm that we’re going to be getting a Ye feature on Whole Lotta Red, we can rest assured knowing that Kid Cudi will be featuring on the album.

Playboi Carti once again took to Instagram to plug another artist who he this time confirmed would be on the album for sure, that artist being Kid Cudi.

In classic Playboi Carti code, he wrote, “i fL3w 2 bro ! toLD hiM hiS mUSic iS WORLd nEEdED . V3ry good GUY bEAUtiFUL sPirit . HE wILL bE oN THis ALBuM . L0v3 hiM . W3 ALL do .”

Lil Uzi also confirmed on his own accord that he’d appearing on Whole Lotta Red via an Instagram Live. Fans asked Lil Uzi if he’d be making an appearance on the album. To which he confirms, “Yeah I’m on track three.”

And now in the latest Whole Lotta Red news, it looks like Travis Scott will once again be collaborating with Playboi Carti for the first time since ‘Love Hurts’, from the Die Lit album.

Unless that is you count the time that the artists came together on ‘Houdini’, only for it to never be officially released as a track on Scott’s Astroworld – which Consequence of Sound recalls.

But we digress as now that’s all well and truly water under the bridge, especially given the news that Scott has written a verse for Whole Lotta Red, which Carti confirmed via Twitter.

Whole Lotta Red is supposedly scheduled to drop on Christmas Day this year.
