You might remember Big White as one of our 12 Bands You Can’t Miss At BIGSOUND, but they’ve been up to lots more since then, with a brand new 7″ dubbed ‘Dinosaur City / You Know I Love You’ (Japanese Version) on the horizon and a brand new music video.

Band member Cody told us about the story behind the video: Dinosaur city was filmed by us and a couple of friends over the first few hot nights of spring.  With some orange juice in hand and a few flash lights we set out trying to portray what dancing in the street would have been like if Mick Jagger and Bowie were living in Hurlstone Park with a couple of handy-cams between them.  What stands is a schism of light and dark, colors awash over VHS bleed. It’s Big White, it’s an accompanying to a song, it’s Dinosaur City.”

A very DIY effort the ‘Dinosaur City’ music video comes after a very busy 12 months for the band, who earlier this year made their US debut at SXSW before embarking on a tour of the South West US, hitting up Houston, Dallas, Albuquerque, and Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, in Australia they sold out local shows and nabbed support slots for Mini Mansions and DMA’s. There’s plenty more on the horizon, too. The band will be playing Lost Paradise with Jamie XX, Four Tet, and Jon Hopkins this summer.
