Melbourne singer-songwriter Joe Forrester has given Tone Deaf the first listen to his debut solo album.
After spending the better part of three-and-a-half years putting the album together over various locations around Melbourne, Joe channels his experiences as a former social worker into an album that delves into life’s uglier and more dysfunctional side.
Joe has taken his tracks from their solo bedroom-recorded incarnations and reworked them to encompass a full band, imbuing them with a new sense of urgency. Being a multi-instrumentalist, he handled drum, electric guitar, bass, synthesiser, vocal and acoustic duties himself.
The album is out tomorrow through Lifeblood records on iTunes and streaming services, and you can give it a spin below.
