Croatian choir kid turned progressive indie singer/songwriter Klara Zubonja has just released her debut album Stuck Between, a colourful and eclectic selection bundle of warmth anchored around Klara’s playful vocal melodies.

Having moved to Melbourne four years ago, she clearly fits right in. Boasting concise song structures playing host to her vocal theatrics, provocative lyrics, minimalist keyboard vamps, the album draws influence from the likes of Lilly Allen, Regina Spektor and Kate Nash. Described by Klara as showcasing her musical journey since making her move to Australia’s ‘music city’, its energetic blend of everything from jazz to indie pop is an absolute treat.

Klara Zubjona will be launching the record November 9th at The Workers Club, joined onstage by her new bandmates along with support acts Forever Son and Alana Wilkinson. If the album’s anything to go by, it’ll be a very fun gig.
