Melbourne’s very own Krista Polvere is today unveiling her brand new EP Devil In Me.
The release sees Polvere blending alt-country with folk and undeniable talent for penning an incredibly hooky pop gem, ‘Shut Up & Ride’ is an impressive introduction to the local talent.
A follow on from ‘Shut Up & Ride’ is the EP title track which Polvere explains the story behind the release: “The song is a story about a dangerous desire and love that two people have for one another” comments Polvere. “The desperation that you can hear is the fear of losing someone you believe you can’t live without. When a love is overwhelming it can drive lovers mad and turns something that is pure and perfect into something that dark. Which is the Devil in Me.”
The EP was recorded in Virginia, USA, and produced by producer/artist Brian Elijah Smith. The recordings were made over an intense period in a basement studio fuelled by an intense relationship between the pair resulting in vulnerability and fire.
