As the frontman of Brisbane rock band Fuchsia, Ryan Nebauer toured the Australian East Coast several times, won the National Youth Week Songwriting award twice, and scored two nominations for a Queensland Music Award.

Now, Nebauer is back with his new solo project, Neighbour. Pairing a delicate solo folk aesthetic and Nebauer’s acclaimed songwriting with a band dynamic on the stage, Neighbour’s unique sound is encapsulated in the new single ‘Taking Flight’.

From intimate solo performances to energetic five-piece shows with flares of rock and electronic elements, Nebauer has proven that Neighbour is anything he wants it to be. However, at the core of the project is a focus on good songwriting.

Following on from the release of his debut EP, Note To Self, Nebauer has spent 2015 unveiling a string of new songs, each depicting the different sides of Neighbour and ‘Taking Flight’ is sure to give fans something they haven’t seen or heard before.
