Plum (aka Caleb Jacobs of Juliawhy? / The Cathys) is an artist who first hopped onto the local radar with his Black Doris EP, the music video for its lead single ‘TinyFeet’ going on to score independent clip of the week on Rage and a run on MTV, and other tracks receiving solid attention locally.

Now, he’s back at it with another gorgeous bit of bedroom production in ‘Grey’, a breezy, shoegazey take on a very specific and awful feeling. “Grey is about that moment when you have a brain fade,” Caleb says, “your mind freezes, the cat’s got your tongue and your only choice is to wait for it to pass. Those few seconds always seem like an hour. Most people I know have experienced anxiety in one way or another, so I decided to try and write a fun song about a horrible experience.”

‘Grey’ is out today on TurkTown records, and we’re definitely anxious to hear what’s next.
