Melbourne noise punk crew PLY | ERS have been kicking around for a short while now, gigging relentlessly and bursting the eardrums of every punter brave enough to approach. The trio have just released their latest effort, Vacuum Cycle and in true PLY | ERS style it’s an unclassifiable exploration of music, noise and pure unadulterated energy.
Recorded Live at the Tote in late 2015 by Max Ducker, and later mixed and mastered on a series of strange and very hot days by Max and PLY | ERS, Vacuum Cycle is a blistering 20+ minute genre defying journey into the psyche of this fascinating local crew.
If you dig the track pop by the PLY | ERS Bandcamp and chuck in a few bucks for the download, as all proceeds from the Bandcamp page will go to The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) “an organisation who do some fantastic work that we truly value and believe in” the band explain.
