Melbourne’s indie rock five piece Running Young are today premiering their brand new single ‘Did You See’ taken from the band’s upcoming debut EP We Are The Sons.
Illustrating the airy harmonics of frontman Joel Famularo’s vocals, ‘Did You See’ was influenced by classic acts such as U2 and the Beach Boys, as well as contemporary artists such as Temper Trap and Bon Iver.
In 2012, Famularo survived open-heart surgery with a two-three percent chance to live, and since his journey he’s channeled this experience into music intended to inspire and connect people. Using his previous understanding of performing music with his family’s band as a child, We Are The Sons promises to be one of the most inspiring EPs we’ll hear this Autumn.
