Local bedroom-pop crew The Cassandras are today unveiling their brand new single ‘Rachel’ a desperate, lovesick ode to Jennifer Aniston’s character from the iconic Friends (TV show).

For those uninitiated, The Cassandras is the project if of Fionn Tschanz-Bartleet, who after rattling around in various bands throughout his teenage years started jamming soulful, guitar driven music in his Adelaide bedroom.

Soon joining forces with childhood friend Jasper Farnham, the new formed duo bonded over a love for ’90s R&B music and simplistic pop melodies and the rest is history.

Having since moved to Melbourne, the band have been working with producer Mitch Graunke (ESESE, Baro) on their latest material. Tongue in cheek and super sweet in its simplicity, ‘Rachel’ is a perfect introduction to the fascinating pop two piece, check it out below and if you like what you’re hearing stay locked to the band’s Facebook page for more info on upcoming shows and releases.
