A Pusha T concert has ended early after the rapper was set upon by a trio of fans during his performance.

As The Toronto Star reports, Pusha T was performing at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday night when the incident occurred.

According to fan-shot footage, three men can be seen jumping onstage and attacking the rapper about 40 minutes into the set. While Pusha T attempted to keep on performing following the incident, security reportedly forced the musician to end his show prematurely.

A Tweet shared by the Toronto Police Twitter account explained that “numerous” people had been injured during a “fight inside the concert hall”, while noting that medical services and police had responded to the incident.

While the men involved in the incident haven’t explained why they attacked Pusha T, the prevailing theory is that it was in response to the feud between the rapper and Toronto native Drake.

Although Drake and Pusha T have been said to been in a low-level feud since 2012, the latter raised the stakes earlier this year by releasing the track ‘Infrared‘, which criticised Drake’s alleged use of ghostwriters.

Drake soon responded by released ‘Duppy Freestyle‘ in May, before Pusha T returned fire with ‘The Story Of Adidon’ just days later. Although Drake hasn’t responded to the latest track, it seems tensions are still simmering between the two artists, and their respective fanbases.
