Queens Of The Stone Age’s upcoming Aussie tour might only be a matter of weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped the group from finding room for one last gig in the name of charity.

Queens Of The Stone Age are set to kick off their Australian tour in exactly two weeks, with the band bringing their 2017 record Villains to their legions of Aussie fans. While the group will already be hitting up the likes of Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, and Hobart, Josh Homme and co. will now be performing a special one-off acoustic show at Hobart’s Museum Of Old And New Art (otherwise known as the Mona).

Taking place on Monday, September 3rd, the special 90-minute gig is set to be a very special affair for fans, with all proceeds from the gig going towards the Royal Hobart Hospital Children’s Ward.

“I sit with Brody’s Mum & enjoy the wild, utterly Australian beauty,” explained Josh Homme, referring to his Aussie wife, Brody Dalle of The Distillers. “I think Mona is a perfect example of Tassie individuality, so playing there is an honour.”

“As a token of our appreciation, we will donate all proceeds to the Royal Hobart Hospital Children’s Ward.”

Tickets to this special gig will be on sale from 4pm on Thursday, August 16th, through the Mona Museum website.

If you’re lucky enough to be in Hobart at the start of next month, then this is definitely one gig you won’t want to miss. Otherwise, if you can’t make it to any of the band’s other Aussie tour dates, then you might want to start making some last-minute plans to attend what will surely be a unique experience.
