R. Kelly has been released from prison after posting his $100k bond — 10% of his $1 million bail. Though, as TMZ reports, R. Kelly is required to pay the $169,996 child support tab he owes to Drea Kelly or else he risks returning to jail. It has been reported that Kelly paid the bond with a bank cashiers check.

Kelly turned himself into police on February 23rd. The 52-year-old was indicted on 10 counts of criminal sex abuse, with each count carrying a maximum of 10 years in prison. Earlier today, Kelly’s attorney Steve Greenberg, pleaded not guilty to the charges laid against Kelly.

Last week, Greenberg made dismissed the charges against the singer, “I think all the women are lying, yes,” Greenberg shared. “This has become, ‘Hey, R. Kelly – I can say R. Kelly did something’ – boom.”

R. Kelly has been ordered by the court to surrender his passport. He is also prohibited from contacting anyone under the age of 18. He is next scheduled to appear in court on March 22.

Yesterday it was revealed that R. Kelly forced to spend a second night in Jail after failing to make the $100,000 bail needed to secure his release. According to Greenburg, as a result of “mismanagement” the musician “really doesn’t have any money.”

Kelly’s misconduct were first brought into the public eye in 2002 after a video emerged of the singer engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl. Kelly was acquited by a jury after claiming the man in the video was not him. Kelly was indicted on 21 counts of child pornography later in the year. Kelly’s abuse came to the forefront this year, following the release of the Lifetime documentary Surviving R. Kelly. Which detailed years of sexual abuse allegations made against the artist.
