After much speculation spurred by their disappearance from social media, Radiohead have returned with a moody new single titled ‘Burn The Witch’ and an accompanying music video, which you’ll love if you’re into claymation and being really creeped out.

As Tone Deaf reported earlier this week, the UK alternative legends recently cleaned out their website and Facebook and Twitter accounts. Around the same time, they sent out cryptic fliers bearing the name of their new single to some of their UK fans.

The single, which will presumably appear on the band’s forthcoming new album, supposedly due out in June, comes complete with an unnerving claymation video directed by Chris Hopewell, who revealed via Instagram that the clip was only finished last week.

The video features a man coming into a small town and being shown around by the mayor. What appears to be an idyllic village is actually a bizarre enclave of strange rituals, capital punishment, alcoholism, and finally, an homage to the 1973 film The Wicker Man.
