Liberation Music are set to release a rare double vinyl set (500 copies only) of Rowland S. Howard’s 1999 debut solo album ‘Teenage Snuff Film’ mid October 2011.

Tragically, at only 50 years of age in 2009 saw the life of Rowland S. Howard cut short by liver cancer. As a tribute to his music and the legacy he left behind, the current documentary ‘Autoluminescent: Rowland S. Howard’ will have special screening shown from 27th October at the Elsternwick Classic Cinema in Melbourne.

Featuring 8 original songs, the original recordings took place at the Birdland & Sing Sing recording studios in Melbourne with collaborators Mick Harvey and Brian Hooper. The album was produced by Lindsay Gravina and engineered by James Mason & Jade Martin, and released to critical acclaim both here in Australia and internationally.

Reliant Records (owned by Bruce Milne) were the first to release ‘Teenage Snuff Film’ on CD format, while Melbourne’s very own Radio One label released a limited edition on clear and black vinyl.

Rowland S Howard guitar style has been described as something out of this world, with his gaunt and fine appearance to go hand in hand, come mid October you will have the very rare chance to revive his beautifully, haunting music from ‘Teenage Snuff Film’.
