The Scottish synth-pop trio that are Chvrches should be riding high after the release of their debut album last week. And how have they chosen to celebrate? By covering the queen of smooth RnB. ‘s voice is as usual flawless, it’s also pretty adorable hearing her add some ghetto inflections to her angelic  vocals.

Haim Cover Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’


The sisters Haim that can do no wrong in the eyes of the public have tempted fate by going where few respected musicians have… into the twerk-heavy realm of teen pop gone awry where Miley Cyrus reigns.  The trio manage to give a new life and production value to Cryus’ latest single ‘Wrecking Ball’ and we’ve gotta admit, it’s a pretty ace rendition.

Flight Facilities Remix Jagwar Ma’s ‘Come Save Me’


The  Sydney duo who brought us one of the best mixtapes of this year as well as countless hits feat. saccharine female vocals have now remixed fellow Sydney-siders and much hyped band Jagwar Ma. The single ‘Come Save Me’ taken from the rockin’ trio’s debut album Howlin‘. The rejig adds synthy textures and a killer beat to the original.

Sleigh Bells Remix Phoenix’s ‘Chloroform’

The noise-pop twosome have given new life to the Phoenix’ jam ‘Chloroform’ with Alexis Krauss adding additional vocals to the indie-rock jam.  Sounding more like a collaboration than a remix consider this one of the few remixes to actually change up the essence of the song without making it unrecognisable.

Volcano Choir Remix Volcano Choir’s ‘Comrade’

No guys, not a typo! Some of the members of the extended Volcano Choir family  including guitarist Chris Rosenau and Wisconsin bands Altos, All Tiny Creatures, and Collections of Colonies of Bees, have remixed ‘Comrade’ from the much celebrated album Repave. You can download or stream the remix EP here.
