Actor Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler, Venom) has revealed in a recent interview that he accidentally taped over his parents’ wedding video with an Eminem track.

Ahmed appeared on The Late Late Show with James Cordern on October 2nd to promote Venom, the new Marvel film he stars in. An Eminem track features on the film’s soundtrack, so Ahmed was asked if he was a fan of the controversial rapper. To which he responded, “I’m a huge Eminem fan, he changed rap and music for me.”

Ahmed then recalled the first time he heard Eminem’s music “It was one of these late-night music shows that would show the brand new music videos from America. ‘My Name Is’ came on. I remember watching it and I was like, ‘What the hell is this?’ So I immediately reached for the cabinet and took the first VHS tape I could find and put it in and just recorded that video.”

He continued “For a week, I watched it again and again and again and again. It was only later that I realised I’d taped over my parents’ wedding – only three minutes of the wedding, not the rest of it.” Watch the interview below.
