Last month, Ruby Fields, one of Australia’s brightest voices in indie rock announced her biggest ever Australian tour in celebration of her upcoming EP, Permanent Hermit.

The tour will see the Cronulla native take some of the country’s most coveted stages, kicking things off in Brisbane on May 17th, with festivities wrapping up in Hobart on June 8th. Ruby recently stunned audiences with her appearance at Laneway Festival – the country is clearly fanging for the Fields, with shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide selling out in just days.

Auckland’s very own alt-rock titans Miss June will follow the entire tour, whilst a slew of locals will join throughout.

Mild West, Surf Trash, Georgia Daley, Battlesnake, Spike Vincent, Slippery Sloth, Jimi Crisp, Spit Chewy, The Tinderboxes and Pretty Uglys will all jump board the tour on various dates, warming things up for punters who are hungry for a night of heart-on-your-sleave lyricism and raw rock energy.

Ruby Fields recently released a video for the track ‘Climate’ a song she describes as being, “a happier song and I think we all needed a bit of that.”

It’s been a heavy year for myself and the band, hence the release of ‘Dinosaurs’, and one of the only things that pulls our heads up is time away whether it’s camping together or going for dinner at a pub, or just talking to each other. It’s a happier song and I think we all needed a bit of that,” said Ruby.

“Insanely keen to get back on road for a proper tour with heaps of new songs and EP coming very soon!! Been a huge year already with Hottest 100, Like A Version and Laneway shows and can’t wait to crack on. Come watch a few eternally average losers and have a few with us,” said Ruby reflecting on her insane 2018.
