Vivid LIVE might still be months away, but the excitement is rising, with RÜFÜS DU SOL becoming the next at announced for the Sydney festival.
Just last week, it was revealed that Sydney’s Vivid LIVE 2019 was going to be a big one, with The Cure making their first trip to Australia in three years. With four dates lined up, the band are set to perform their iconic 1989 album, Disintegration, in full.
However, if you were thinking that organisers would be phoning in the rest of the lineup, you can sleep easy, with RÜFÜS DU SOL announced as the second act on the Vivid LIVE bill.
Currently at the tail end of their Solace tour, RÜFÜS DU SOL fans might have thought the group’s current live dates seemed a bit odd, with their only hometown performance coming as part of Sydney’s Field Day performance on New Year’s Day.
However, the fears of Sydney fans have now been assuaged with a pair of headline shows coming their way this June.
“Sydney, we didn’t forget about you,” the band wrote on Facebook earlier today, revealing that they’ll be taking over the Carriageworks warehouse on June 13th and 14th.
To sweeten the deal even more, the group will be joined by Willaris. K, undoubtedly making these shows some of the biggest of the festival.
Tickets to these shows go on sale at 10am, on Friday, March 1st, with pre-sale registration open now.
