Two decades on from the release of their first album, fans of the original S Club 7 lineup might be in for a surprise, with members reportedly “in talks” for a 20th anniversary reunion.
If you were listening to music at the tail-end of the ’90s, then it’s practically impossible to be unaware of S Club 7.
Formed by talent manager Simon Fuller after he was fired by The Spice Girls, the iconic pop outfit was created following auditions by over 10,000 hopefuls.
Making their debut in the TV show Miami 7 (which was also named S Club In Miami), the group released their debut album in late 1999, turning them into international pop sensations by the turn of the millennium.
Charting high in the UK, the group became household names thanks to singles like ‘Bring It All Back’ and ‘S Club Party’, and went on to release one album per year until 2002.
Sadly, the group packed it in after the departure of Paul Cattermole, though they would reunite briefly in 2014. Of course, spin-off groups also did the rounds, with S Club 3 – which featured original members and toured Australia just last year – the most famous of them all.
Now, it appears as though we could be on the cusp of receiving another long-awaited reunion in honour of the group’s two-decade anniversary.

As The Mirror reports, sources have claimed that there has been discussion between the original members about potentially getting back together for a 20th anniversary tour.
“There is talks in between band members now about doing a reunion arena tour next year,” the source claimed.
“A lot of the bandmates are up for it. It’s still early days but they are talking and fans may be in for a treat in 2020. It all makes perfect sense for a reunion celebrating 20 years of S Club 7.”
At this stage, it’s unclear just how truthful these claims are, or if a potential reunion tour would include dates outside of the UK, but you can be certain that fans are definitely keen for S Club 7 to bring it all back to the live stage once again.
