Following the release of his debut album ‘Doomsday Deluxe’ in June, and a highly successful Super Visual Apocalypse tour across numerous sold out shows this year (including a highlight performance at Splendour In The Grass 2012), Sampology announces the release of the second single from ‘Doomsday Deluxe’ – ‘Around The Globe featuring Serocee’ and a 14 date Australia & New Zealand DJ tour in October and November.
‘Around The Globe’ features the vocal stylings of the one the hardest working men on the Reggae/ Dancehall/ Bashment scene, the UK vocal don Serocee. In the radio version and club mix, there’s a clear Jungle/Drum & Bass influence with a 2012 take in its high energy.
A great selection of ‘Around The Globe’ remixes includes a thick and percussive main room club mix from New Zealand’s Dan Aux, who’s collaborated on projects with Tommie Sunshine and more recently with P-Money for their ‘Kinda Lovin’ released on Kitsune; a Spenda C remix with a huge trap sound that reinforces why this Sydney artist has been getting props in recent times from Diplo on BBC Radio 1; a dark and moody soundsystem dub mix from Sydney duo Wordlife; and last but not least is a Fela Kuti sampled mix from Auckland/Berlin based Scratch 22.
‘Around The Globe featuring Serocee’ – Released 5th Oct (Juno) and all other platforms 19th Oct
