After a packed day at Wickham Park in 2018, festival organisers behind Scene & Heard have announced not only the return of Scene & Heard this year, but also its expansion to Queensland with dates in Cairns on Sunday 27 October, and Brisbane on Saturday 2 November. Now today, the festival announces its exciting 2019 stacked lineup.
Across the three touring locations for this year’s event are varying musical lineups, with key act Wolfmother headlining all three events, fresh from an appearance at Splendour in the Grass and an international tour.
Meanwhile, the USA’s Dandy Warhols will be celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band, and will hit up the festival’s Brisbane and Newcastle events. Other additions to the festival’s lineup include Sneaky Sound System, Alex Lloyd who will play his album Black the Sun in full. Irish-Aussie electro-house group The Potbelleez will perform DJ sets at the festival’s Brisbane and Newcastle events.
Joining those acts will be Australian rockers British India, and Sneaky Sound System, who performed at last year’s festival.
This comes after last year’s packed out festival saw The Living End and Something For Kate hit up its stage.
“Scene & Heard is creating more than a festival. It’s creating a connection to a time. A time before people cared about ‘likes’, and festival moments weren’t Instagram opportunities but collective memories,” a festival spokesperson said.
