German hard rock outfit Scorpions has dropped a surprise new song called ‘Sign Of Hope’ that serves as an inspirational track to help us through the current state of the world.
Keen to get down with a new track? Well, Scorpions have got you covered. Not only did they state earlier this month that using their downtime in quarantine to get behind some new hard rock goodness, but the legendary collective have put out a new single, hoping to bring us a little inspiration.
Their new track, ‘Sign Of Hope’ is a short, two minute tune, that highlights frontman Klaus Meine’s vocals over a simple, yet gorgeous guitar track, veering away from their classic hard rock sound.
“We are working on lot’s of Hard‘n Heavy Rockers for our new album these days…but because of the dramatic COVID-19 pandemic, we want to give you a little ‘Sign Of Hope’ that came straight from the heart in troubled times,” the band stated. “Stay healthy and safe. We love you,” the band stated to their Scorpion News fan site.
While earlier divulging about the new tune and tracks to come, Meine detailed how the state of the world is effecting the band: “The whole world is going through very difficult times, and it’s very scary and frightening. We are in a very privileged situation that at least we can be at home and can work in our own studios to keep things going.”
“It’s a wonderful thing, especially in these days when we are all in a lockdown and we have no chance to go nowhere, really — we cannot travel, we cannot move. But at least we can be creative. We can take a deep dive in our own creative work. And hopefully something good comes out of it.”
